Overview:

The Viettel Marathon 2024 in Luang Prabang - Laos will take place on November 3, 2024.

The Viettel Marathon 2024 is a prestigious international sporting event organized by the Vietnam Athletics Federation, the Cambodian Athletics Federation and the Lao Athletics Federation; The Military Industry - Telecommunications Group (Viettel Group) is the co-organizer and sponsor. The tournament will be held in 3 countries: Laos (November 3, 2024), Vietnam (December 1, 2024) and Cambodia (December 22, 2024). The Asian Athletics Association will supervise and support professional work at the tournament. In its first organization, the tournament is expected to attract 25,000 participants from the host countries and around the world.

The tournament is organized with the purpose of creating a healthy playground and contributing to widely popularizing the sport of running to the community and international friends, responding to the Olympic Running Day for the health of all people; contributing to promoting, introducing and developing local tourism through the tournament's media system; strengthening solidarity and friendship between the three Indochinese countries as well as countries in the region.
